MS. LEA:
I have been teaching at Lil Goldman for over 10 years in the Toddler class. I started as an assistant for the first two years I was here. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Elementary Education in the Philippines. Teaching is my passion in life, and I enjoy being around children. I live in Fort Worth with my husband, Jomar, and our two dogs, Sunshine and Bernie.
MS. KRISTEN:
I was born and raised in Ft Worth, Texas. I have been working at Lil Goldman for 6 years, and working in early childhood education for the past 35 years. After I graduated college in Illinois, I worked at a Jewish school there for 18 years before I came back to Texas. I have two animals - a cat named Melvin and a horse named Honey-Girl that is a Palomino. I love to ride horses in my free time.
Our toddlers are children ages eighteen - 24 months and up. A toddler must be walking and no longer needing a morning nap to be eligible for this classroom. Toddlers are learning to be independent in eating and following directions. No more high chairs or cribs for us! The main goals for this room is language acquisition and socialization(learning to a part of a group). Being in the toddler age group means playing is learning and that learning is fun!
