I have been in Early Childhood education for 13 years teaching first in a Montessori school. I received my Montessori certification in 2009. I am looking forward to my second year with Lil Goldman and watching your Pre-K kids learn and grow each and every day.
I love teaching and working with children. I love to help them learn, and to talk with them. They are so full of energy, and it is fun to listen to them talk about the new things they are learning in the classroom. I believe that every child can be what they would like to be in life, and they can achieve great things.
In my free time I love to travel and shop. I have one fur-baby named "Ace".
I have worked at Lil Goldman Early Learning Center for 18 years and have spent most of my time working with two year-olds, three year-olds and Pre-Kindergarten.
I have my Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Bryant & Stratton College. I love working with your fun and funny children, helping them develop the skills that they need and am happy to be at Lil Goldman each day. The children are my pride and joy!
In my free time I enjoy watching movies and playing games of all kinds. I have one daughter, Erica, who works with the Infants at Lil Goldman.
Pre-K is an important year as we prepare to move on to BIG KIDS school. We work in the Handwriting Without Tears program learning to print each of the letters. Math and science continue to be hands-on and experience based. We incorporate the curriculum from Scholastic's "My Big World" for science and social studies that includes digital interactive learning, a monthly magazine workbook, and at-home activities for the families. Reading is developmentally presented as the individual children are ready. We integrate Hebrew and Jewish culture in all aspects of the day.
Our main goals are to encourage the children to have a a continued love of learning, be critical thinkers. and problem solvers both cognitively and socially. As our preschoolers graduate we want them to be well rounded caring people with good values and with positive self concepts.
