I was born and raised in Fort Worth and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters. Mia, my oldest, is almost 7 years old and Lilah, my youngest, is almost two. I have an Associate degree in Child Development, and I am currently working on my Bachelor degree in Child Development and Family Studies at Tarleton State University. To say I love working with children is an understatement. Part of my teaching philosophy is to provide children with quality developmentally appropriate care.
In the Infant 2 classroom, we work on furthering each child’s fine and gross motor skills. We provide each child with a nurturing and positive learning environment. We teach language and literacy development through songs and constant verbal and descriptive language. We read books to further their understanding of all the things that surround us. We work on their social and emotional growth by teaching self-regulation skills. Learning is done through play and child led activities.
